Designed after the character Pulcinella, from the 16th century theatrical play “La Commedia dell’Arte”and incorporating scenic Venetian imagery; this handmade Venetian mask makes a wonderful and beautiful wall accent to any room. Truly a striking piece of traditional Venetian art.
Not only does this mask make a wonderful wall ornament; but it can also be worn very comfortably. Sure to dazzle and awe everyone at your next Masquerade Ball, Venetian Carnivale or Mardi Gras event; this mask is a wonderful representation of Venetian art.
The mask is completely handmade in Venice, Italy from paper mache using traditional artisan techniques. The mask is elegantly decorated with designs of golden macramé and highlighted with faux pearls. The eyes, nose and hat are accented in gold; while the mouth and chin are painted in antique white. The lips are painted in a deep ruby red. The mask’s hat incorporates a beautiful and romantic scene from Venice past.
The mask comes with a small loop in the back for easy wall hanging. It can also be easily worn and has satin black ribbons as ties for a comfortable fit. This handcrafted paper-mache mask makes for a stunning addition to a Carnivale or Mardi Gras costume.
The mask comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
